National Bank of Pakistan T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2016 Bahawalpur

Day-1

Today National Bank of Pakistan T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy commenced at Bahawalpur. Syed Sultan Shah President World Blind Cricket Ltd & Chairman PBCC, Mr. Saqib Zafar Commissioner Bahawalpur Division, Mr. Dawood Malik, G.M Sales National Bank of Pakistan inaugurated the event.

Gujranwala Vs Peshawar:  (Venue: Dring Stadium Ground No.1 Bahawalpur)

Peshawar won the toss and decided to bat first. Peshawar posted a competitive total of 239 runs on the board for the loss of 5 wickets in stipulated 20 Overs. Mohsin Khan scored brisk 95 runs, whereas Haroon Khan made 79 runs. Saif Ali claimed 1wicket.

Defending Champion Gujranwala in reply couldn’t capitalize and were bowled out on 134 runs in 18th over. Muhammad Akram made 56 runs. Fazal e Hadi took 2 wickets.

Result: Peshawar won by 105 runs                    Man of the Match: Mohsin Khan

Islamabad Vs PBCC Young Star (Venue: Sadiq Public School Ground No.1 Bahawalpur)

Islamabad won the toss and put PBCC Young Star into bat.  PBCC Young star were bowled out on 73 runs in 17th overs. Zahid Mehmood scored 23 runs. Mustafa Kamal took 3 wickets and Yasir Andleeb claimed 1 wicket.

In reply, Islamabad chased the target in just 6.5 over without losing a wicket. Yasir Andleeb made unbeaten 30 runs*. 

Result: Islamabad won by 10 wickets.             Man of the Match: Mustafa Kamal

AJK Vs Faisalabad: (Venue: Sadiq Public School Cricket Ground No.2, Bahawalpur)

AJK won the toss and put Faisalabad into bat. Faisalabad were bowled out on 65 runs in 15th over. Azam was their leading scorer with 26 runs. Idrees Saleem claimed 3 wickets by giving away 14 runs.

In reply, AJK chased the target in just 8th over for the loss of 2 wickets. Arfan Majeed scored 30 runs.

Result: AJK won by 8 wickets        Man of the Match:  Muhammad Idrees Saleem

Afternoon Matches

Bahawalpur Vs Lahore: (Venue: Dring Stadium Ground No.1 Bahawalpur)

Lahore won the toss and asked Bahawalpur to take guard. Bahawalpur posted 244 runs on the board for the loss of 5 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Muhammad Afzal was top scorer with 75 runs and Muhammad Zafar made 62 runs.  Matiullah claimed 1 wicket.

In reply, Lahore made 172 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Amir Ishfaq was top scorer with 40 runs.  Muhammad Ayyaz took 4 wickets.

Result:  Bahawalpur won by 72 runs         Man of the Match: Muhammad Ayyaz

 

Karachi Vs Abbottabad: (Venue: Sadiq Public School Ground No.1 Bahawalpur)

Karachi won the toss and put Abbottabad into bat. Abbottabad made 158 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Riasat Khan made unbeaten 72* runs.  Murad Ali took3 wickets.

In reply, Karachi reached target home in 17.5 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Noman made 32 runs. Naeem Ullah took 3 wkts and Riasat Khan took .

Result: Karachi won by 3  wickets.                 Man of the Match: Murad Ali

Quetta Vs Okara: (Venue: Sadiq Public School Ground No.1 Bahawalpur)

 Quetta won the toss and decided to bat first. Quetta made 94 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.  Bismillah and Asim made 16 & 15 runs respectively. Badar Munir took 2 wickets for 11 runs.

Okara chased the target for the loss of 3 wickets in 6.4 overs. Badar Munir scored 62 runs.

Result:  Okara won by 7 wickets                 Man of the Match:  Badar Munir
