Peshawar, Islamabad, AJK and Bahawalpur qualified for Semifinals of NBP T20 Blind Crcket Trophy 2016

Day-5

Abbottabad Vs Gujranwala:  (Venue: Dring Stadium Ground No.1 Bahawalpur)

Abbottabad opted to bat first after winning the toss.  Abbottabad made 201 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of 4 wickcets. Riasat Khan shined with the bat he made 118 runs.

Gujranwala, in reply chased the target for the loss of 1 wicket in 13.2 overs.  Muhmmad Akram made brilliant unbeaten 127 runs. Riasat Khan was the only bowler to claim a wicket.

Result: Gujranwala won by 9 wickets         Man of the Match: Muhammad Akram

 Bahawalpur Vs Young Star (Venue: IUB Cricket Ground, Bahawalpur)

Bahawalpur won the toss and elected to bat first.  Bahawalpur made 227 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Zafar Iqbal was their leading runs scorer with 76 runs, while Bilal Perviez made 43 runs. Ashraf Bhatti and Afzal took a wicket a piece.

In reply, PBCC Young Star were restricted 53 for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Amjad Ali was scored 12 runs.  Muhammad Afzal took 2 wickets for Bahawalpur.

Result: Bahawalpur won by 176 runs Man of the Match: Zafar Iqbal

Okara Vs Islamabad: (Venue: New Lodhran Sports Stadium)

Okara won the toss and elected to field first. Islamabad made 212 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs. Arsalan again shined with the bat he made 84 runs off 58 balls. Anees Javed made 44 runs. Badar Munir and Ibrar took 1 wicket each.

In reply, Okara made 167 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Badar Munir made 73 runs off 40 balls. Tanveer Ahmed claimed 2 wickets.

Result: Islamabad won by 45 runs            Man of the Match:  Muhammad Arsalan

Afternoon Matches

Lahore Vs Quetta: (Venue: Dring Stadium Ground No.1 Bahawalpur)

Quetta won the toss and elected to bat first.  Quetta posted 148 runs on the board for the loss of 6 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Hikmat Ullah made 58 runs.  Muhammad Salman took 3 wickets while Kamran claimed 2.

In reply, Lahore reached the target in 13.1 overs for the loss of 1 wicket. Muhammad Salman made 97 runs.

Result:  Lahore won by 9 wickets              Man of the Match: Muhammad Salman

 

Karachi Vs Faisalabad : (Venue: IUB Cricket Ground, Bahawalpur)

Karachi won the toss and decided to field first. Faisalabad were bowled out on 99 runs in 17th Over. Ijaz Ali and Muhammad Azam made 29 and 20 runs respectively. Tariq Samuel was the pick among the bowlers he made 3 wickets, Shair Ali and Awais claimed 1 wicket each.

In reply, Karachi reached the target in 15.4 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Shahzad Iqbal made 29 runs and Tariq Samuel made 24 runs. Ijaz, Asad and Shahzad claimed a wicket a piece.

Result: Karachi won by 6 wickets                 Man of the Match: Tariq Samuel

Peshawar Vs AJK: (Venue: New Lodhran Sports Stadium)

AJK won the toss and decided to bat first. AJK made 163 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Muhammad Jamil and Nisar Ali made 43 runs each. Irfan Ullah, Mohsin Khan and Javed Khan shared a wicket a piece.

In reply, Peshawar reached the required target in 18 overs without losing a wicket. Haroon Khan made unbeaten 87 runs while Mohsin Khan remained not out on 58 runs.

Result: Peshawar won by 10 wickets               Man of the Match: Haroon Khan 

Tomorrow, 1st Semifinal will be played between Peshawar and Islamabad and 2nd Semifinal will take place between AJK and Bahawalpur.
