Khyber Pakhtunkhwa crowned champions of 9th PBCC Blind Cricket Super League 2026

Abbottabad, June 21, 2026: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Blind Cricket Team emerged as champions of the PBCC Blind Cricket Super League 2026, defeating Balochistan Blind Cricket Team by 11 runs in a thrilling final played at the APS Cricket Ground, Abbottabad.

The grand finale was attended by distinguished guests including Syed Sultan Shah, Chairman Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC), Mr. Anayat Ullah Waseem, Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Abbottabad, Mr. Tariq Mehmood, Former Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Asif Mehmood Jadoon, Director Water Management Cell (WMC) Abbottabad, Mr. Sadat Ali Khan, Principal Government Institute for Blind (GIB) Abbottabad, along with Directors and officials of the Pakistan Blind Cricket Council.

Winning the toss, KPK elected to bat first and posted a competitive total of 201 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.

KPK’s innings was anchored by a blistering unbeaten knock from SanaUllah Khan Marwat (B3), who smashed 45 runs off just 22 balls, including five boundaries and a six at an impressive strike rate of 204.55. Valuable contributions also came from Kamran Akhtar (39 off 25 balls), Akmal Hayat Nasir (26 off 25 balls), Irfan (26 off 20 balls) and Jibran Khan (24 off 18 balls). KPK also benefited from 33 extras, taking their total beyond the 200-run mark.

For Balochistan, Bashir Ahmed (B1) was the most successful bowler, claiming 2 wickets for 30 runs, while Niamatullah picked up one wicket.

Chasing 202 for victory, Balochistan mounted a spirited challenge led by an outstanding century from M. Rashid (B3), who remained unbeaten on 105 runs off 60 balls, striking 13 fours and 2 sixes. He received useful support from Niamatullah (37 off 26 balls), but KPK’s disciplined bowling and fielding efforts ensured that Balochistan finished on 190/5 in their allotted 20 overs, falling short by 11 runs.

KPK’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Badar Munir (B2), Kamran Akhtar (B3) and Junaid Khan (B1), who claimed one wicket each at crucial stages of the innings. Their ability to contain the scoring rate during the middle and death overs proved decisive.
