The Women’s Blind Cricket Selection and Training Camp has officially commenced at the AKAB School for the Blind in Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). The event was inaugurated by Chudhary Saeed, Former Minister for Sports AJK, alongside Professor Muhammad Ilyas Ayoub, Principal of AKAB and Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC).
This camp is a significant step toward preparing and selecting the Pakistan Women’s Blind Cricket Team for the inaugural T20 Blind Cricket World Cup, scheduled to take place in November 2025 through a hybrid model in Nepal and India. A total of 36 women blind cricketers from various cities across Pakistan are participating in the camp.
The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council has extended its heartfelt thanks to professor Muhammad Ilyas Ayoub for graciously hosting the camp at AKAB School for the Blind, Mirpur AJK.
