Punjab Govt assures to support the T-20 Blind Cricket World Cup 2024

Lahore, (10th Sep 2024) – Syed Sultan Shah, Chairman of the Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC), met today with Mr. Muzaffar Sial, the Secretary of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Punjab, to discuss the upcoming World Cup Cricket for the Blind and sought the support of the Government of Punjab for the successful hosting of this prestigious event. Mr. Farhan Farooq, Additional Secretary Sports, was also present during the meeting.

The Secretary Sports assured full support from the Government of Punjab, expressing confidence that both financial and moral backing would be provided to ensure the tournament’s success. He emphasized the government’s commitment to promoting inclusivity in sports and supporting blind cricket at all levels.

The 2024 World Cup Cricket for the Blind will take place from November 21st to 3rd December 2024, with seven teams participating. Matches will be played in key cities across Punjab, including Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad, uniting teams from around the world in a showcase of sporting excellence and determination.
